SYNOPSIS
Never That Dark is a feature-length documentary by the young, up-and-coming director Èrika Sánchez, who, over two years, along with a small film crew, paints a portrait of the economist and activist Arcadi Oliveres (1945). Two pivotal years in a fascinating biography: from the student struggles against Franco's dictatorship in the 1960s, through the anti-globalization movements, the creation of the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, and the Indignados movement. A road movie that combines the collective struggle of the "Spanish Revolution" with the solitude of the journey in its own unique gospel against capitalism. From the clamor of the masses in a society on the brink of collapse to the individual struggle of one man to overcome the obstacles of the human condition.
